Tim Sharky: President
Tim is currently a Sophomore finance major in the Financial Markets Institute and Broad College of Business. This summer, Tim will be working at Shore Capital Partners, a private equity firm specializing in control equity investments within the healthcare sector. Tim is interested in pursing a career in Investment Banking and Private Equity. He is an avid motorcycle enthusiast and also enjoys playing hockey, video productions, and snowboarding.
Noah Gaffney: Treasurer
Noah is currently a Junior finance major at MSU in the Broad College of Business. This past summer Noah interned in the Capital Markets group at Quicken Loans, and before that interned at Executive Wealth Management, a private wealth advisory firm. This is Noah's first year on the executive board, but has been a member since freshman year. Noah enjoys fishing in his free time, and also holds a position as Supervisor at the MSU Dairy Store.
John York: Senior Advisor
John is a junior finance major in the Broad College of Business. This past summer, John worked at Flagstar Bank in Jackson, MI as a Warehouse Lending Intern. This upcoming summer he will be working in Bloomfield Hills at JP Morgan Chase as a Middle Market Commercial Banking Summer Analyst. Apart from Finance Association, John is a Chick Evans Scholar and an avid golfer.
Isabela Calvo: Vice President
Isabela is a sophomore concentrating in finance with a minor in economics, and is in the Financial Markets Institute and Broad College of Business. This summer, Isabela will be joining BP on their Chicago trading floor as an Integrated Supply & Trading Intern. In her free time, Isabela enjoys traveling and relaxing with a good book
Anthony Aron: Portfolio Manager
Anthony is currently a sophomore finance major in the Financial Markets Institute and the Broad College of Business. He is also minoring in Japanese. This past spring, Anthony worked as a Business Development Intern for an educational start-up called Course Hero. Anthony is interested in pursuing a career in equity research. In his free time he enjoys playing and watching basketball.
Dan graduated in 2017. Dan was in the Financial Markets Institute and Honors College. After his sophomore year, Dan interned in the Capital Markets group at Quicken Loans. Before that he was a Wealth Management Intern at Hilliard Lyons. This past winter Dan interned in the Advisory practice at Deloitte. This summer he will be interning at Citigroup in the Capital Markets Origination Group. Dan has been on the Executive Board since his freshman year. In his free time he enjoys golfing, and playing tennis.
Holly graduated with a finance degree in 2017. She was in the MSU Honors College. This past summer she interned in the advisory practice at Deloitte. This will be Holly's second year on executive board, this year she looks forward to getting more women involved in finance and increasing the group's community outreach. After graduation she will be joining Deloitte full time as a consultant. In her spare time she serves on Sigma Kappa sorority's executive board and teaches dance classes.
Eric graduated in 2017 with degree in finance. He was also in the MSU Honors College. Summer 2015, Eric participated in the Global Finance Studies study abroad in Belgium, focusing on foreign exchange rate risk and international portfolio management. This is Eric's second year on the executive board, but he has been a member of the Finance Association, as well as The Broad Student Senate since freshman year. In his free time, Eric enjoys following college and professional football as well as graphic design.
Chris graduated in 2015 as a Finance major. Chris is in his first year at Ford Motor Company, serving as a Financial Analyst for the Treasury Department. He accepted the full-time offer after interning the previous summer at Ford Motor Company as a finance intern, within the employee benefits finance department. Chris' interest in Finance began when he started online trading through ETRADE at age 14 on the recommendation of his Grandfather. Chris joined MSUFA as a freshman and has previously held the roles of Executive Vice President and President. Additionally, he is a recipient of the Evans Scholarship.
Karla graduated from the MSU Honors College as a Finance Major. The business courses she completed throughout high school and college sparked her interest in Finance. Karla's involvement with MSUFA began during her freshman year at Michigan State, and last year she had the pleasure of serving as the president. This past summer, Karla interned with J.P. Morgan Commercial Bank. Karla’s hometown is Saline, Michigan. She was an All-State golfer in high school, enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
Sameer is a Senior finance major in the Broad College of Business. This past summer, Sameer interned for PNC's Corporate Banking Division, in the Diversified Industries Group. The rest of summer, his interests shifted to better understanding the tech sector and spending time with his family. Sameer became interested in Finance after witnessing the Financial Crisis of 2008. Sameer is in his second year on the Executive Board, now as the Vice President. He enjoys playing basketball and watching football and golf.
